Alisha Sandidge-Renteria MSN, FNP-C, RN-CMSRN, PHN (鈥�11) was the second author on a manuscript titled 鈥淚ncidence and Predictors of Nonventilator Hospital鈥揂cquired Pneumonia in a Community Hospital.鈥� According to the manuscript, the purpose of the study was to 鈥渄etermine the incidence of NV-HAP in a California community hospital and to identify the patient and nursing care factors including missed nursing care associated with its development.鈥�

Alisha and her team will do the second arm of the study in a year to see if the hap rates/deaths have decreased. For more information, read the full manuscript.
